Conceptual and Procedural Intercept Training and Visualization

If you are working directly with Guido you can get the latest prototype build HERE in a .zip file to run locally and there is a WebGL version too.

Comments from Guido’s World of Tanks gamer following

“...but to “21st century” the concept by turning it in to a downloadable app that can be carried around and accessed quickly and at any time is just brilliant. I hope that someone (big in the Tech world) picks you up and runs with this.”

”80% of being an SME on a skill is total mastery of the basics. Looks like you guys have figured a way to make that learning curve manageable for a wider group. Interesting and impressive.”

”Man, I love this! I know you’re a subject matter expert on F-15’s but this type of app would be amazing for civil aviation too. Everything from basic flight planning and weather avoidance to shooting an approach on the proper angle to an offshore rig/platform. Great stuff, I’m excited to see where you take this.”

”I think your idea has serious potential for anything that requires rapid decision making or problem solving in changing situations. (Sports, your example, Medicine, Emergency response) Probably dozens of others.”

Legacy systems generally provide very little immediate feedback during self-study and when an instructor isn’t available. Incorrect conceptual and procedural study reinforces bad information or habit patterns. Concepts and procedures misunderstood require correction and “un-learning”. This in turn requires instructor time and effort during the next syllabus ride and slows student development. In some cases it causes failure and an additional ride is required. With easy access to repetitive and correct CP trainers in the form of a smartphone, tablet or laptops, the basic CP aspects of the next syllabus event are freshly rehearsed and understood. More importantly they are available to the student at any time.

Web Playable Prototype

This is an example of a simple conceptual trainer built with less than a man-month of total resource and deployed to a PC, Web, Android Device and iOS all with the same code base.

This was in response to an ask at the ABM schoolhouse. Check out the B-Scope Visualizer page as well on the Projects page. That was built in less than an hour on a request from a SME.
